Privacy Policy
How TechWithDB handles account, learning progress, and purchase information.
Last updated: October 14, 2026
This draft describes the information TechWithDB currently needs to operate accounts, learning features, and the course marketplace. The actual production configuration and applicable privacy law should be reviewed before launch.
Information we handle
Depending on how you use the Services, information may include:
- Account information: your Google account name, email address, verified sign-in status, and account identifier when you sign in.
- Learning information: lessons or activities you mark complete, quiz and practice progress, resume locations, and related timestamps. Guest progress is stored in your browser. Signed-in progress can sync to your account.
- Purchase and marketplace records: course or membership identifiers, order and payment-provider references, amounts and currency, payment status, entitlement dates, subscription state, and instructor/course records needed to provide the marketplace. TechWithDB’s application does not store your full card number or payment-provider credentials.
- Course submissions: information and files submitted if you apply to participate as an instructor or upload course material.
- Technical request information: information processed by hosting and security providers to serve requests, protect the Services, and diagnose failures.
- Messages: information you choose to submit through the Contact page or linked forms. Linked third-party forms are subject to their providers' practices.
Do not submit passwords, payment card details, government identifiers, or other sensitive information through a contact form or course upload unless a specific approved flow asks for it.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate accounts, save and sync learning progress, deliver purchased content, verify payments and access rights, review instructor applications and course submissions, respond to requests, secure and maintain the Services, and meet applicable legal or accounting obligations.
Service providers and sharing
TechWithDB uses service providers for website hosting and delivery, authentication and data storage, file storage, payment processing, and external assets. Current platform integrations include Cloudflare, Firebase/Google, and Razorpay. These providers process information as needed to provide their services and under their own terms and privacy notices. Some requests, such as loading an external payment checkout, may connect your browser directly to that provider.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect users or the Services, or as part of a business transfer where permitted by law. TechWithDB does not intentionally request payment card numbers through its own account or course forms.
Browser storage and account progress
The site uses browser storage for guest progress, preferences, and application state. Signed-in users’ learning progress can be stored in Firebase Firestore under their account and synchronized across devices. Clearing browser storage does not delete progress already synced to an account. See the Cookie and Browser Storage Notice for more detail.
Retention and your choices
Information is retained for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Services, maintain security and records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. A precise retention schedule and deletion workflow must be established for each production data store. You can request access, correction, or deletion through the Contact page. We may need to verify your identity and may retain specific transaction or security records when required or permitted by law.
You can stop using guest progress by clearing browser storage. This does not erase account data. Signing out does not delete locally saved or synced progress. You may also manage third-party permissions and browser storage through your Google account and browser settings.
Security and international processing
We use technical and organizational controls intended to protect information, including server-side checks for protected course access. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to applicable safeguards and law.
Children and policy changes
The Services are educational but are not specifically designed as a child account service. If you believe a child has provided personal information without required permission, contact us through the Contact page.
We may update this policy by publishing a revised version here and changing the date above. For privacy questions or requests, use the Contact page.
